Ava's hair issues are about to set me over the edge. I love to do hair, I always have and I'm actually quite good at it. I was so excited to have a little girl so I could do her hair...curly, straight, braided, pig tails, bows, flowers...I love it all. Turns out my little girl has a mind of her own. I say braids she says curls, I says curls she says pony tail. Well, today I snapped! I felt like getting out Ben's clippers and shaving her bald (I probably would have if it hadn't taken me so darn long to grown it out), instead I sent her to church without her hair done, I just couldn't take her telling me with her 4 year old attitude that I didn't know what I was doing and that she looked hideous, so as painful as it was for me she went to church with straggly hair and I think it actually hurt her more than me. Hopefully it was a lesson learned.

Ava's hair always looks so cute! Just wait until she cuts her hair like Brooklyn did....so fun.
I remember always wanting to do my own hair, but my mom wouldn't let me. Probably best I didn't, but even if it was straggly I'm sure she still looked adorable!
Oh Emersyn is a little Ava. We have the same issues. Before she could talk very well, she would throw a fit until I figured out exactly how she wanted her hair. I'm so happy to have my one little girl, but I am so glad that I don't have three!!! My neighbor says that doing her girls hair is the worst part of her day. I'm sure she was still gorgeous at church!
Gotta love those hair issues,I have the same problems except Kall always wants a blasted pony tail, drive me crazy!! Ava always looks darling no matter what.
She still looked darling at church--she always does. I still need a couple of hair lessons, so whenever you are up for it, I'd love to learn some new tricks!
I know it gives you headaches, but she makes me laugh. She is so b eyond her years...
My 4 year old sometimes chooses to "cop an attitude" too. I have found that when her hair isn't done, she actually acts worse (it would bug me too if I had all that hair in my face!). I am DYING to put curlers/rags in Anna's hair, but of course she absolutely refuses. Little fart....
Oh, and I think it would be nearly impossible for Ava to look anything but darling. She is too stinking cute, even with hair in her face!
With that picture and your lead up, I swear I thought you were going to tell us all that she did the dreaded and will always happen...she cut her own hair!!!!
Whew, so glad she didn't!
Some times, you just have to choose your battles!
She is always beautiful! Don't be so hard on yourself!
Amy,
You're too great. I love tht you let her go without it done. You're so hard core! :)Funny enough, Ty woul DIE if I made him go to church without doing his hair. I just read your previous post and you are far too kind, please refer to my comment there. I am so happy for Jamie!
