Snow Day

The kids love going out in the cold but as for me. . . . .

I'm ready for summer! I know I sound like a big grump, but I hate putting snow clothes on my kids(they cry and wine until everything feels just right...(can you say OCD) and then stay outside for 10 mins.), my clean floors are dirty and wet, there are snow clothes strung all over the house, my kids are board, my house is a mess, Mitchell's nose won't stop running, and I have tons of shopping to do but refuse to take my kids out on the roads in the blizzard. So...if you don't get a gift, a card or a plate of candy from me this year just know that I do love you, I'm just throwing in the towel! I think I'll watch a movie with my cute little kiddies and let everything else go!!

I agree! Loved you Christmas card by the way! I showed it to Easton and Caleb and told them that I wanted one of them to mary Ava. They freaked out and said "she's a little girl!!!". I tried to explain that it wouldn't matter when they were in their 20's, but the wouldn't hear it!! It was pretty funny.

Love this post, Amy. It's so good to hear that I'm not the only one that feels like that!

You are completely hilarious!!! I am still laughing!! But I'm with you! It is beautiful to have snow, but everything else, I could pitch! We all were eating breakfast yesterday in our frigid kitchen and asked each other: "WHY do we live here??? It's so COLD!!". I just keep telling myself that shoveling the driveway 4 times a day is good exercise when I can't run! Yeh right. I burn about enough calories for a piece of sugarfree gum!! :o)

Amy, First of all, your children are absolutely gorgeous! Your little Ava reminds me of you and your sister at that age. So adorable! Thank you so much for your comment on my blog. I had two different people this week comment that it really is "as awful as you think it's going to be" (their words) dealing with twins. It made me wonder why someone would say that, even if they meant it. And although I have felt mostly blessed since we found out, I really got scared. So, thank you so much for your encouragement and for just being a mother that enjoys her twins. It meant the world to me! If you don't mind, I'll keep checking in with you and picking your brain on your "twin wisdom" whenever I have questions. The day after we found out, I woke up at 5:30 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep because I was thinking of everything that had to be done before the babies are born. I decided I have to put all that aside until after Christmas, and then we can start getting ready. So, I'm sure I'll have A TON of questions for you in a few weeks. Thanks again!

I also wanted to let you know that I was so sorry to hear about your dad. My parents think so very highly of your parents. Both of them are just incredible people. In fact, my dad called me to let me know that he had died, and he was pretty shaken up about it. He wanted me to come to the viewing with him, but we were out of town. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about your family, especially at Christmas. He truly was such a great man with such a huge heart.

Merry Christmas and I'll talk to you soon.

I am totally with you, I ask myself every year why I still live here? I guess it does not bug me until February, March, April then I loose it!!
